Getting Started
On This Page
This set of tutorials is designed to help you get started on the system. More in depth tutorials are available on other parts of the site, but these should help you get started quickly.
Prerequisites
For Faculty (Principal Investigators)
If you are new to Betty, please visit see our Faculty Info page. There you will find information about our code of conduct and requesting resources on Betty.
For Researchers
Your Principal Investigator (PI) must add you to the appropriate project(s) in ColdFront. Once this is complete, see below for instructions to get you started with access to Betty. It may take up to an hour for new accounts and project memberships to take effect.
If you are not a Penn faculty member, student, or staff member your PI will need to reach out to the Local Support Provider (LSP) for their home school to request a Guest PennKey for you before they can add you to a project.
